Letrozole (Letrakast 2.5 ) is an anti-cancer Medication. Letrozole 2.5 mg tablet is used to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It may be used alone or in conjunction with other treatments such as surgery or radiation. In individuals with advanced breast cancer, it can also be used to prevent the tumour from spreading to other parts of the body.
Infertility can also be helped with letrozole 2.5mg tablet. It can be taken with or without food, but taking it at the same time every day yields the best benefits. The reason you’re taking it determines the dose and frequency. Your doctor will determine the extent of your improvement. This medication should be used for the entire term of the prescription.
The most common side effects of letrozole 2.5mg tablet are hot flashes, tiredness, increased sweating, and a spike in cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia). If these irritate you or appear to be serious, tell your doctor. Your doctor may suggest ways to avoid or mitigate them.
Before using this letrozole 2.5 mg tablet, notify your doctor if you have ever had liver or renal disease, or if you have a history of osteoporosis (thinning or wasting of bones). Any other medications you are taking should also be disclosed to your doctor, as some of them may affect the effectiveness or modify the way this medicine works. Tell your doctor if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. Your doctor may arrange blood tests to monitor your vitamin status before and during treatment.
