How Sorafenib Tablets Works

The kinase inhibitor class of medications includes Sorafenib Tablets. It works by blocking the activity of an abnormal protein, which prevents malignant cells from growing. This aids in the prevention of tumour cell growth.
Sorafenib Tablets is a cancer-fighting drug. It works by boosting the immune system, which then targets cancer cells indirectly. It stops the tumour from sprouting new blood vessels. It also inhibits the synthesis of chemical messengers (cytokines and growth factors) that promote cancer cell proliferation. This is how cancer is combated.

Q. What are Sorafenib side effects?

Sorafenib has a low incidence of adverse effects and is assessed in a controlled manner.
Diarrhea, nausea, exhaustion, skin yellowing, elevated blood pressure, stomatitis, and skin responses on the hands and feet are the most prevalent side effects of Sorafenib therapy. These are all possible symptoms. If any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away, contact your doctor.

Q. Will I need any blood tests while taking Sorafenib?

While taking Sorafenib, your health care provider will check on you on a frequent basis to monitor side effects and assess your response to medication. Blood pressure testing is one example, but it is not the only one.

Q. Is it necessary for me to take birth control while taking Sorafenib?

During your treatment, including when your doctor recommends you to temporarily stop taking Sorafenib and for 4 weeks following your final dosage, continue to use contraception. While on therapy, Sorafenib may enter into the sperm of men.
